Since people are naturally (and often rightfully) skeptical of direct sales, people often ask me the same question: do you really love Beautycounter? I get it, you want to know if it’s a product truly worth buying or just another low-quality, mass-produced beauty product.

Truthfully, I would never promote something to my family, friends, or anyone else unless I truly loved the product and brand. (Read my post on MLMs about what led me to the Beautycounter brand despite my own skepticism.) Beautycounter has changed a lot for me, so much so that I feel compelled to share its products, opportunity, and broader message with others. I really feel passionate about lessening the toxic load in our households, and Beautycounter has given me a platform to do that. Plus, I’m still using very high quality, luxurious products that work.

Still, people wonder what works and why. So I wanted to share some of my favorite products that I use on a regular basis. Hopefully, you’ll now be able to refer back to this list anytime you’re unsure about what to get.

I’ve always had acne-prone skin, so skin care has always been a priority for me. I have spent so much effort and money my whole life to find quality products that work. While I am prone to breakouts, I also make sure to shop for products that help with old dark spots and acne scars and fine lines (ah, yes. The future is here). While these aren’t the only products I use, these are some of my tried-and-true (read more about my journey so solving my own skin issues in this post).

Beautycounter Skincare Favorite Products

Skincare

  1. I’m using an amazing regimen right now that has cleared and kept breakouts and oily skin at bay. I’ve struggled with acne forever, especially after stopping birth control. I love having something safe that truly helps me feel more confident in my skin. I can’t share the full regimen yet, but other products that have worked for my acne include the Charcoal Car, No. 3 Balancing oil and No. 3 Balancing Mist. Anything else that I list below I would also recommend for acne prone skin. I’ll be updating this section soon with more exciting products that Beautycounter is launching soon.

  2. Cleansing Balm: If you’re looking for a splurge-worthy product, this is it. You only need a tiny bit. I use it as a makeup remover and cleanser, and I massage it into my skin gently for 30-ish seconds. I remove with the super soft muslin cloth that comes with it. I do cleanse again after, but not everyone does and you don’t need to! I just love how my skin feels after double-cleansing, especially if I was wearing makeup. I’ve also used the balm as an overnight mask. I wake up to such bright and supple skin on those mornings!!

  3. Rejuvenating Toner Pads: I use these at night in place of my normal regimen’s toner. Toning is such an important step; it balances our skin’s pH level and preps the skin for any treatments. These gems even out the skin tone drastically. I’m hooked! I cut them in half to extend the shelf life. The entire Rejuvenating Collection is amazing for anti-aging, if that is what you are shopping for! I use the Rejuvenating Serum on my forehead and it has helped SO MUCH!!

  4. Overnight Resurfacing Peel: You guys, this stuff is my holy grail. Along with the regimen I hinted at above, nothing else has worked so quickly and effectively to keep my skin in amazing shape and breakout free. It does an amazing job at clearing blemishes, evening skin tone, and brightening the skin. Oh, the wrinkles that have started cropping up? Helps with those, too. It is worth EVERY PENNY. Apply at night after cleaning and toning, let dry for 3-5 minutes, and then moisturize.

  5. Eye Cream: I alternate between the Rejuvenating Eye Cream at night and the Countermatch Rescue Eye Cream in the morning. The Rejuvenating Eye Cream I find to be super effective at minimizing the fine lines that are appearing around my eyes as well as dark circles. I like the Countermatch Eye Rescue Cream in the morning to hydrate the area and make me look more awake!

  6. Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion: This moisturizer adapts to pretty much every skin type using bio-mimic technology. My husband and I both love it, and it is a Beautycounter bestseller and the number one product that my clients buy. It smells delicious and leaves the skin feeling so fresh. Makeup

  1. Tint Skin: I used to wear Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. For years. However, the ingredients are not safe and not something I feel comfortable using anymore. I was so nervous to swap to something safer, but I have to say I love the tint skin, especially when I apply with the Retractable Brush (honesty the brush made a huge difference for me… my beloved Beauty Blender did not work out for me with Tint Skin). I love the coverage because you can still see my freckles (hey, Meghan Markle!) and I don’t feel overly made up or cake-y. I use the shade Linen.

  2. Concealer Pen: I use this for blemishes and under my eyes. I use the lightest shade (fair) for a brightening effect and carry it everywhere.

  3. Bronzer and blush: Our new Radiant All-Over Bronzer has the prettiest and slightest sheen! I love the shade Dune! For blush, I go back and forth between our Cream Blush in hibiscus (so easy to toss in my purse) and the new Satin Powder Blush (nectar is a perfect peachy-pink).

  4. Velvet Eyeshadow Palettes: Truthfully, I’ve never worn much eyeshadow because I don’t know what I’m doing. I got one of these palettes to try and I love it so much!! The colors are so rich and pigmented, and last all day. It’s fun experimenting with the different looks I can make. I currently use Classic, but I’m eyeing up the Romantic palette for my next purchase.

  5. Brow Pencil: This comes with the Flawless in Five Kit, and I never used one before either. But my eyebrows are thin, light, and sparse and I have to say that now I feel so much better when I even just slightly fill in my brows!

  6. Mascara: Do you guys know how much crap is in most mascara? Making a clean mascara is not easy. I currently use the Volumizing formula and it’s completely safe! Yay.

  7. Lip: I’m now addicted to Beautycounter lipsticks and glosses. Sorry, I’m not sorry. Never even used to use anything but chapstick. My current favorites include Color Intense Lipstick in Brunch (my go-to shade for work), Lip Sheer in Terra and Lily, and Lip Gloss in Rosewood and Peony. Bare Shimmer is a client favorite, too! I always have a Lip Conditioner with me at all times! They are so soothing and hydrating, and the peppermint formula is so refreshing.

Family and Shower

  1. Baby Gentle All-Over Wash: I love how gentle this wash is!! I’m admittedly neurotic about what I put on her skin and I’m completely confident in this wash. It has never caused irritation and it’s perfect for body and hair. No fragrance!

  2. Baby Calming Diaper Rash Cream: Cora had THE WORST diaper rash when she came home from the hospital. It was red, splotchy, and so irritated. It was horrible to see her in so much pain. We tried everything, including a prescription. Nothing worked as well as this cream, which is why I finally signed as a consultant. I was officially a believer and committed to using safer products. Not only on me, but on my baby. And yes, I want to share the importance of that with you too.

  3. Citrus Mimosa Body Wash: Oh my goodness, we love this so much. It smells amazing and it’s a staple in our house. I feel strongly that if you want to start switching to safer products, start with the stuff that goes all over, everyday!

  4. Countermatch Adaptive Body Moisturizer: This lotion is so rich but absorbs quickly. Just like the facial moisturizer, it uses bio-mimic technology to adapt to your skin’s hydration needs. I love that it’s a pump, too!

  5. Daily Shampoo: Zach and I share this, and I’ve never been able to share shampoo with him before! My hair feels so clean after using it, and it’s gentle for my very thick and color-treated hair. I use the Repair & Nourish Conditioner.

I really hope this is helpful. Again, these are the products that I use and that work for my needs. Please know that I truly enjoy helping others find what works for them, so reach out for more personalized recommendations and questions.

I’m so grateful to have found Beautycounter because they work very hard to screen and regulate the ingredients in their products. They promise to never use ingredients linked to cancer, endocrine disruption, and a multitude of other health problems. They advocate for greater regulation of the cosmetics industry so that all products we consume are indeed safe. We all deserve better.
